The Federal CX series propellers are NC milled and machine finished creating a high tolerance level propeller. The NC technology makes it possible to individualize specific blade design for each application requirement. This often includes incorporating variable pitch with particular rake and skew adjustments.
The Federal engineering process has optimized the material placement on the blade to exacting standards by adjusting pitch pressure and suction surface on the blade. The uniform blade surface greatly reduces drag. The NC machining process insures each CX propeller is practically identical.
A full custom design CX propeller requires accurate vessel data to insure proper application. Creating a custom propeller takes more time to design, engineer, and manufacture than an existing propeller line. CX propellers can be made in 3,4,5,6 and 7 blade configurations.
